With Enterprise Architect you have all the elements together, needed for the complex and difficult process developing, engineering and developing software. Support for UML 2.1 notation combined with process management tools offering the full range of possibilities for every requierement.

With UML 2.1 diagrams you can model systems from web applications to embedded systems. The generation of UML Diagrams runs quick and easy and together with the graphic-engine you can produce readable diagrams.
Enterprise Architect can easily generate, customize, and maintain complete system documents and with the build-in project browser you navigate through your software models.

EA’s code generation features, combined with MDA Transforms you have a great and powerful software modeling tool to develope, model and realize complex systems.
Still not enough features? So why not using MDG Links to directly integrate Visual Studio .NET or Eclipse to complete your development solution.

Enterprise Architect for software developing is the right solution to:

Manage Requirements

Enhance your software modeling

Model and analyze business processes

Build design and behavioral models

Generate and import source code in a variety of languages

Generate and import database schema

Generate and import XSD

Create component and deployment models

Track changes

Manage tests

Confirm traceability from requirements through to deployment

Document your software development

Communicate and develop team based software engineering projects

Rapid modeling/engineering of your software’s development

Helmut Schindlwick explains in his video, why you may need an Enterprise Architect model. His is talking how to use EA, cause every different stakeholder has different requirements, and about the important tasks for your recent Enterprise Architect model.

He explains how you can build a consistent enterprise architecture model.

So why do we need the Enterprise Architect model?

There are a lot of reasons. For example:
- buidling and preserving knowledge
- reusing information in different projects; saving time and money
- making decitions by using stored information
- it is a secure, scaleable and easy to use environment
